The objective is thus sub-divided into 3 parts that correspond to elementary characterization tasks and a final work-package to synthetize the results. Seismic reflection profiles and data from wells will be used to perform fracture and fault analysis producing a 3D model at the basin-scale of the geometry of the Grande Oolithe, with emphasis on the tectonic controls on lithology and facies distribution. ES-Geothermie offers access to recent 2D seismic profiles. Samples will be collected for petrophysical and mechanical analysis in the laboratory in order to characterize the elastic properties, effective pressure laws and failure modes and their impact of fluid flow in the Grand Oolithe over the relevant range of pressure and temperature.
