The major stages and mechanisms underlying the evolution of these basins, particularly in intraplate areas, are reconstructed. The main themes addressed concern (i) the links between depositional environments and the diagenetic evolution of sedimentary reservoirs, (ii) the transfer of material from erosion zones to deposition zones (<i>source to sink<\/i> approach), (iii) the drivers and mechanisms of fluid circulation leading to the accumulation of resources (metals, geothermal energy, gases: helium and natural hydrogen), and (iv) the geodynamic control of these various phenomena.<\/p>\n<p>The theme leaders are <a href=\"https:\/\/geops.geol.u-psud.fr\/user\/bbrigau\/\">Benjamin Brigaud<\/a> and <a
