  • 2006 : Thèse d’Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR). ‘’Reconstruction des changements paléo-climatiques quaternaires et mio-pliocènes. Impact de la variabilité des systèmes de moussons sur l’érosion des continents et traçage de la paléohydrologie en Atlantique’’.
  • 1998-09 : Maître de Conférences à l’Université de Paris-Sud.
  • 1994-97 : Doctorat en Sciences de la Terre, Université de Paris-Sud (réalisée au Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement, LSCE). ‘’Reconstruction du régime de l’érosion des chaînes himalayenne et birmanes au cours des deux derniers cycles climatiques (300 derniers ka). Etudes minéralogiques, magnétiques et géochimiques des sédiments de la mer d’Andaman et du golfe du Bengale.’’

Principaux thèmes de recherche
Mes travaux de recherche consistent à restituer la variabilité à haute résolution temporelle des paléoclimats terrestres ainsi que leurs impacts sur les surfaces terrestres (érosion et transferts sédimentaires) et les écosystèmes (coraux d’eau froide) sur un large spectre d’échelles temporelles (de la centaine au million d’années) à partir d’archives climatiques marines (carottes sédimentaires et coraux profonds). Je me suis plus spécifiquement attaché ces dernières années à mieux comprendre la distribution de la composition isotopique du Nd (εNd) et des concentrations en lanthanides dans l’océan dans le but de contraindre le cycle du Nd dans l’océan et d’appliquer le traceur εNd mesuré dans les archives marines (coraux profonds et tests de foraminifères) afin de restituer dans le passé l’hydrologie de l’océan (ANR HAMOC, ANR MEDSENS, INSU-PALMEDS) et les apports lithogéniques de Nd des fleuves aux océans (HYDROSED).
Je travails actuellement sur deux chantiers principaux :

  • 1/ Restitutions de la circulation thermohaline de la Méditerranée et de son impact sur la circulation méridienne nord Atlantique au cours du Quaternaire terminal.
  • 2/ La restitution de la variabilité des systèmes de moussons est-asiatique et indien au cours du Quaternaire et de leurs impacts sur l’érosion à terre et les transferts de sédiment à l’océan.
