Europlanet 2020 RI

Europlanet 2020 RI

The Europlanet 2020 Research Infrastructure (RI) is a European Union funded project to integrate and support planetary science activities across Europe. The project was launched on 1st September 2015 and will run until 31 August 2019. It is led by the Open University, UK, and has 34 beneficiary institutions from 19 European countries. Europlanet 2020 RI will address key scientific and technological challenges facing modern planetary science by providing open access to state-of-the-art research data, models and facilities across the European Research Area.
Our laboratory is involved in the VESPA (Virtual European Solar and Planetary Access) workpackage, aiming at building a Virtual Observatory for Planetary Science, connecting all sorts of data in the field, and providing modern tools to retrieve, cross-correlate, and display data and results of scientific analyses.

Europlanet 2020 RI has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 654208.
